TO: NPZA Members and Past Attendees to the Nebraska Planning Conference
FROM: Christopher Solberg, AICP – NPZA President
Recently, we have received a number of inquiries regarding the 2021 Nebraska Planning Conference and if it would still be held in Kearney this March. Unfortunately, after discussions with the NPZA Board as well as with APA Nebraska President Jeff Ray and the APA Nebraska Board, it was concluded to postpone the upcoming conference due to COVID-19 concerns.
After recent negotiations, we have signed a contract with Younes Hospitality to move the Nebraska Planning Conference to September 15-17, 2021 at the Younes Conference Center in Kearney. We are hopeful that by then we will be able to come together to attend the conference in person once again.
Also, NPZA has commenced work on a virtual Spring Workshop to be held in the coming months. This Spring Workshop will be much like last year’s Fall Workshop in format and will provide an interesting set of sessions for those interested. So keep an eye on your email and NPZA’s social media accounts for more information to come!
The NPZA Board, the APA Nebraska Board and I want to thank all of you for your patience during these unprecedented times and we look forward to potentially seeing all of you at these upcoming events!
