Job Title: City Planner
The City of Kearney’s Development Services Department is looking for a professional and detail-oriented candidate to join their team! As the City Planner, you will complete professional planning and administrative work in directing and coordinating the development of the City. Work varies and requires interpretation, judgment, and discretion within prescribed standards and procedures. Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning or closely related field and three (3) years of planning and zoning experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Ability to earn AICP professional certification within two (2) years of the date of hire. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Salary range is $73,260 – $106,486, with a 13 Step Play Plan.
