National APA Conference Coming
The annual planning conference held by the
American Planning Association will be held from April 22 to 26 at the Convention
Center in San Antonio. The conference is not just for professional planners.
There are sessions for nearly all members of the planning and zoning community.

If San Antonio is not possible, the following
are the dates and cities of future conferences.

Nabity Re-elected
Chad Nabity, AICP was recently
re-elected as President of the Nebraska Chapter of the American Planning
Association. This will be Nabity’s second two-year term. Chad is the Regional
Planning Director for the Hall County Regional Planning Commission.
Chad made it clear at the October Chapter
meeting that this would be his final term. He firmly believes that the Chapter
needs to continually evolve and add new leadership from time to time.
Besides Nabity, Matt Pillard, AICP, an
Environmental Planner with HDR, Inc. was re-elected as Vice-President of the
Chapter. This too, will be Matt’s second term in office. Joining Nabity and
Pillard as elected officers is Rian Harkins, AICP. Rian is a community planner
with JEO Consulting Group, Inc. Rian was elected as Secretary/Treasurer of the
Chapter. Rian has also been working on the Chapter Newsletter for the past two
years.
Chad and Rian are also active members of NPZA.
